We checked 17 High Wycombe and Marlow shops, from Eden to The Marlow Bookshop, for what they sell, opening hours and addresses. Updated November 2026.
High Wycombe and Marlow have 17 shops worth a Christmas shopping trip in 2026, and this guide puts them in one place with opening hours, addresses and what each one sells. Eden, The Marlow Bookshop, Twenty Three Living and Rebellion’s brewery shop are the names most people land on. Every entry was checked on 5 November 2026 against the shop’s own site or, for three Eden stores, Eden’s listing.
We have not shopped at any of these for this guide, and nothing here is a review. Most of the independents are in Marlow, while High Wycombe’s shopping is mainly in Eden and at John Lewis, so we say where a shop is part of a group or chain. Shops often change their hours close to Christmas, so check before a special trip.
Dates for the Christmas shopping diary
- Thursday 12 to Sunday 15 November: Peterley Manor Farm Christmas Market. It is ticketed, and some slots have waiting lists.
- Saturday 14 November: High Wycombe’s lights switch-on, from 12 noon to 7pm.
- Thursday 19 November: Marlow’s lights switch-on. The same page has the times.
- Sunday 22 November: Wycombe Museum Christmas Craft Fayre and Grotto, with free entry.

- Saturday 28 November: A Merry Marlow Christmas at Liston Court Gardens, 10am to 4pm, and the Princes Risborough lights switch-on, 3pm to 6pm.

- Saturday 12 December: the Christmas market at Danesfield House, Marlow.
Our Christmas markets page has the details of every market above. We found no late night shopping date for High Wycombe when we checked on 5 November, and will add one if it is announced.

Parking and getting there
We found no announcement of free Christmas parking from Buckinghamshire Council for 2026 when we checked on 5 November. In 2025, the Henley Standard reported free parking after 10am on two December Saturdays, in the council car parks serving high streets. They included Wakeman Road in Bourne End and Dean Street, Liston Road, Pound Lane and others in Marlow. That is no promise for this year, but it is worth checking in late November.
Our High Wycombe parking guide has the town’s car parks and charges. If you are coming by rail, see our Christmas trains and travel page.
How we chose
We started from the shops listed on Eden’s site and My Marlow’s shopping directory, then added shops from public listings and kept those that sell things people give as presents. We kept a shop only if we could read its own site, or its Eden listing, on 5 November 2026. We also looked for closure notices. Eden’s stores, F.Hinds and John Lewis are the chain entries, and each says so.
Some places stayed out because we could not confirm them on the day. These include Marlow Toymaster, Wellington Jewellers and Rococo in Marlow; Risborough Gallery and The Daisy Chain in Princes Risborough; and The Lemon Tree in Bourne End. That does not mean any of them has closed. We could not check a gift shop in Princes Risborough on its own site, although the town has a market on Thursdays, 9am to 3pm.
