Tyrece Lewis of High Wycombe went from cleaning to supporting the Pussycat Dolls after Nicole Scherzinger spotted her trio Deja Vu online. Now the UK leg.
A High Wycombe cleaner is on tour with the Pussycat Dolls. Tyrece Lewis and her bandmates in the trio Deja Vu were invited to support the group on its 20-date European tour after Nicole Scherzinger spotted them on social media, and they are now back in Britain for the UK leg.
The other two members are Elle Botterill, from Bourne End, and Carolina Diza, who was born in Venezuela. The tour took them to Paris, Prague and other European cities before the UK dates.
From The Voice to the day job
The three reached the semi-finals of The Voice in 2023, where Anne-Marie was their mentor. No record deal followed the show, so they went back to work: Tyrece as a cleaner, Elle serving customers in a chicken shop.
They kept going anyway. According to the band’s announcement, they put their wages into making their own music and performing on social media, and that is where Nicole Scherzinger found them.

“It didn’t seem real”
The invitation came before the trio had ever played a live show. Tyrece said:
“When the call came through asking us to join them on tour, I had to take a moment because it didn’t seem real. We hadn’t performed live before, so it was nerve-wracking, but we were so grateful for the opportunity and wanted to grab it with both hands.”
Elle said of the headliners:
“The girls are so lovely and supportive. We’re so grateful to them for supporting our journey.”
And Carolina:
“We’ve always loved the Pussycat Dolls’ music. Now we are on their stage. It still feels like a dream.”
