All Saints' Christmas Tree Festival runs 17 to 23 December, Marlow's Carols on the Causeway is 17 December and the Walled Garden sings free on 28 November.

High Wycombe’s Christmas music is spread across its parish church, the Wycombe Swan and two outdoor carol events nearby, one at West Wycombe and one in Marlow. Three have 2026 dates already; the church’s own service times have not been published yet. Every date below was read from the organiser’s own page on 13 October 2026.

The quick answer

All Saints Church’s Christmas Tree Festival runs from Thursday 17 to Wednesday 23 December 2026, with 30 trees decorated by local organisations (All Saints High Wycombe). Marlow’s Carols on The Causeway is on Thursday 17 December; the town council says more details are coming (Marlow Town Council). The first free carols of the season are at the Walled Garden, West Wycombe, on Saturday 28 November, 2pm to 4pm (Hellfire Caves).

All Saints Church, High Wycombe

The town’s parish church on Church Street, HP11 2BN, a minute from the High Street, runs the biggest run of Christmas events in the town centre.

  • Christmas Tree Festival, 17 to 23 December 2026. Thirty fresh trees are decorated by local organisations, each with its own lights and theme; groups dress them on Wednesday 16 December. The church has not yet published opening hours or whether there is an entry charge for visitors (All Saints High Wycombe).
  • Christmas Craft Fayre, Saturday 5 December, 10am to 3pm, free entry. Stalls from local crafters, with a craft tombola (All Saints High Wycombe).
  • Carol services: 2026 times not yet published. The church’s Christmas worship page still shows last year’s programme: Advent Carols at 5pm on the Sunday at the start of Advent, a Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols at 5pm on the Sunday before Christmas, a crib service at 4pm on Christmas Eve and Midnight Mass at 11.30pm. Services are also streamed on Facebook and YouTube (All Saints High Wycombe). We will add this year’s dates when the church publishes them.

Carols on The Causeway, Marlow: 17 December

Marlow Town Council has confirmed Thursday 17 December 2026 for its carols around the Christmas tree on The Causeway, and says further details will follow (Marlow Town Council).

The council’s account of last year’s event, on Tuesday 16 December 2025, shows what to expect if the format holds:

  • The event started at 6pm, with carols around the tree from 6.30pm, accompanied by Marlow Town Band.
  • Santa’s grotto opened at 6pm, with chocolate coins for children from the town council.
  • Free mulled wine and sweet treats came from The Oarsman, and the Mayor’s chosen charity, One Can Trust, collected donations.
  • Road closures: The Causeway was closed and parking suspended from 3pm to 9pm, and the lower half of the High Street, opposite The Causeway, and Marlow Bridge were closed from 5.30pm to 8pm. Station Road and Pound Lane stayed open.

Expect similar closures this year. They will appear on the council’s temporary road closures page, and we will add the times here.

The Walled Garden, West Wycombe: 28 November

The Walled Garden next to the Hellfire Caves holds a free afternoon of Christmas carols on Saturday 28 November, 2pm to 4pm, with “treats and festive cheer” (Hellfire Caves). It falls on the Walled Garden’s Christmas market weekend, which our Christmas markets page covers. Park at the Walled Garden itself: the caves have only disabled parking and drop-off.

Christmas concerts at the Wycombe Swan

The Swan has two ticketed Christmas music shows before the panto opens (Wycombe Swan):

  • That’ll Be Christmas, Tuesday 1 December, 7pm, from £28.50. The long-running touring Christmas show, with singalong festive hits and comedy (Wycombe Swan).
  • Christmas by Candlelight, Thursday 3 December, 7.30pm, from £26.50. West End singers and a live band perform Christmas songs by candlelight, from White Christmas and Winter Wonderland to O Holy Night (Wycombe Swan).

Earlier, Step Into Christmas (Friday 20 November, 7.30pm, £32.50) opens the theatre’s Christmas season; it is in our what’s on this month listings. The pantomime, Peter Pan, runs from 11 December: see our Wycombe Swan panto page.

Still to be confirmed

  • All Saints’ 2026 carol service times and the Tree Festival’s opening hours.
  • Carols on The Causeway times and road closures.
  • Hughenden: we could not read the National Trust’s events listing for the house, so any carol events there are not included.

Getting there and parking

All Saints and the Swan are both in the town centre, a few minutes’ walk apart. Our page on parking in High Wycombe has the open car parks and their charges; Easton Street multi-storey has closed. For Marlow on 17 December, expect the town centre closures above and check roadworks and travel before you set off.

Also on Wycombe Today: Christmas lights switch-ons, Santa trains and grottos and Hughenden at Christmas.
